Sunset Karate Beach Training

Huntington (State) Beach: Saturday August 19th 2023

Training 6:30 – 8:00 PM (ish)

Hang out afterwards.

We will stake out a fire/BBQ pit early and after training share food, bring munchies, etc.  Need to establish someone to bring a few bundles of fire wood.

You can carpool from Upland dojo, work out the meeting time 3:00 or 4:00 pm? between yourselves, dojo parents, classmates or just meet us at the beach.

If you are carpooling with someone please offer some $ for gas & parking. Be sure to gas up.

Note: there are two Huntington Beaches, you are going to go left on the State Beach side (across from the Huntington Beach Energy Plant) at Lifeguard station 10. Everyone is invited (if you are training bring your Gi – swimwear underneath). If you don’t wish to train, feel free to just hang out and party with us. Bring munchies for self or to share. There are restrooms, eateries, and plenty of parking ($20).

We hope you will join us.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If you are not actively training come and just hang out with us anyway

Note from Sensei Christie Vella Kramer:

For those of you who have yet to attend an evening beach workout, it can be described as nothing less than awesome!  It will bring your training to another level: meditating to the crashing surf, feeling of the warmed sand, breathing the fresh sea air and, especially, doing all this while the sun is setting over the ocean’s horizon.  It is quite exhilarating, not to mention a euphoria like no other! I am hoping we can have a good turnout.  It’s a family, friends event, all are welcome!  Bonfire-BBQ and potluck after!
